Panning can make an otherwise basic looking image pop. Unfortunately, panning isn't the easiest thing to do... especially if they aren't moving that fast. But, when you do get it right it looks great.

Tour de Cure
So, this is the third time I was asked to shoot the Tour de Cure in Palo Alto. This time I wanted to see if I change things up a little. The same static images of people on bikes gets mundane very quickly. I was trying different angles, but then it dawned on me that I should be shooting these guys with some panning.
Panning can make an otherwise basic looking image pop. Unfortunately, panning isn't the easiest thing to do... especially if they aren't moving that fast. But, when you do get it right it looks great.
